What is The Montgomery Half & 5K? About the event Learn more.
When is the event? Saturday, March 14th - 7:00 am CT RACE START
Where is the race? The race starts at the downtown water tower and finishes inside Riverwalk Stadium, all in beautfiul downtown Montgomery, AL.
Where do I get my packet? Packet Pickup for the Race will be held at Fleet Feet Montgomery (8107 Vaughn Road) on the Friday before the race (3/13), from noon till 7pm.
Are t-shirts included with registration? Yes, if you register before the t-shirt February 28th your exclusive race tee in the size you order is 100% guaranteed! Race T-shirt design will be announced closer to race day!
After the deadline, shirts will be available in limited quantities/sizes as you register and can be selected while you check out on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory lasts.
Are there medals? All finishers of both races will receive a custom finishers' medal. Top three overall Male/Female, Top three grandmasters Male/Female, Top three great grandmasters Male/Female, and top three Male/Female age group winners will receive award medals.
I’d like to participate. Can I just walk?
Absolutely! We always have people who want to walk, so you will not be alone! Half Marathon participants must finish in a four hour window.
I‘m part of a group that’s running together. Can I pick up everyone’s bib?
Yes! All you’ll need is their full name.
Is there parking? This Packet Pickup and Race location has plenty of nearby Parking and Street parking is available at no cost.
Can my dog come? Yes! Well-socialized and leashed dogs are welcome at the back of the pack.
Are strollers welcomed? Yes, strollers are welcome at the back of the pack.
Are bikes, hoverboards, scooters, skateboards, push bikes, unicycles or wagons allowed on course?
We’re sorry, but only runners, joggers, walkers, baby strollers/joggers, restrained pets and wheelchairs are allowed.
Is the course timed and USATF-certified? Yes! Both races are certified.
Does the course have hills? Downtown Montgomery is not flat! While challenging, it isn't a overly hilly course.
Where do race proceeds go? This is a charity event, with proceeds going to several local charities including The Enlisted Heritage Hall, The Montgomery Food Bank, Child Protect, Reality & Truth, and more.
